Wonderful stories, Jelena!! Sounds like you have conquered a good many challenges. Several years ago one of my church elders told me I am a “survivor.” I didn’t fully understand the meaning then but have a much better idea now.

I also used to say I didn’t think I could write a novel cos I’d not experienced true hardship in life.

Six years ago I suffered a back injury. I’ve not been able to work since then. But I’ve read 150 plus novels in the meantime. And I have three manuscripts needing revisions.

For the moment, Medium is my best source of income and you can understand the precariousness of that, still relatively new at publishing.

I’m pulling for your success! Your writing is always upbeat and I’ve come to look for to seeing what you have to say each day.

On the other hand, I feel like my writing has the pain of my back seeping into it, especially after reading your daily posts. At any rate, I’ve been meaning to tell you this. I need to adopt a less persnickety tone at times.

So thank you for that. God bless you. We all have different journeys to endure in life and in our writing. I feel your optimism pulling me to a lighter pov and I cannot thank you enough for that.
