Let’s push the pause button a moment. Ask yourself this: Has anyone heard Russian President Vladimir Putin say he intends to invade Ukraine?

Yes, he has been building the number of Russian troops on the Russian border of Ukraine for months.

And yes, we have heard the words of warning from an un-popular American president whose poll numbers are in the tank.

The Biden White House has said for a week now there is a “very distinct possibility” of an imminent Russian invasion.

Leakers were loosed on Washington a few days ago announcing the invasion would begin yesterday. That the battle will be bloody and quick.

At the same time there are videos from ice skaters at a Ukrainian border town doing their best imitations of Kamila Valieva. They certainly seem to be skating with less on their minds than the 15-year-old skater who supposes she must have taken some of her grandpa’s cancer medicine by mistake.

But back to my question: Has Vladimir Putin said he plans to invade Ukraine?
