What Should We Be Asking OpenAI About AGI Over Altman Firing?

What questions should we be asking about AGI given the upheavel going on within OpenAI over the last five days?
Is AGI already active but being kept a secret? (Image produced via Mid-Journey.)

Has OpenAI created an AGI but has yet to tell the world about it?

I’ve been following, largely from a distance, the goings on at OpenAI since I heard about the firing of Sam Altman this last Friday.

YouTube is full of speculation and ideas about what’s going on and why the situation has turned into a Class A Cluster F.

Twitter is alive and abuzz like the Whopr in the 1983 movie, Wargames.

The documented changes on X.com are happening at an alarming rate. Video makers on YouTube say they can’t shoot a video update fast enough for it to still be accurate when it posts.

So what do Google’s Bard and Claude have to say about what is going on?

For some reason, I’m up at 0200 hours Central USA time and I cannot sleep.

My mind is anxious having watched a Ray Campbell video on YouTube from only a few days ago.

Campbell goes through a narration about a “whistleblower” within OpenAI who or that has been quite accurate in predicting events to come in specificity on Twitter over the last couple of months.
