We have been sold a lie since the days of our childhood. You want to go to school, get good grades so that when you grow up, you can: 1) Be anything you want, 2) and get a good job. What many do not understand is that those two do not necessarily go hand-in-hand. A good-paying job with a web of corporate BS, is miserable. A not as good paying job can make you the happiest you've ever been. Somewhere in between is a level of survivability, and as Paul McCartney sings, it's a fine line. I get told to go get a "real job" all of the time. I'm having difficulty making ends meet. But I've learned so much about who I really am, I was not allowed to be in the corporate world. And that's made all the difference to me.
