The Facebook Marketplace Zelle Scam

Say ‘No’ to Instagram and Facebook users trying to pay via Zelle

Last night I listed a few items on Facebook’s local Marketplace. I didn’t realize until I woke up this morning that I’d received four inquiries before going to bed. So at 5:30 a.m. CDT, I answered the potential customers in the order I received their inquiries. Three for one item. One for the second.

They each asked the same verbatim question. “Is the item still available?” Not too unusual a question.

This led to their second important question: “Do you use Zelle?”

And up went the Red Flags like an erection from a Blue Pill.

Yes, I do, but I didn’t tell any of them that. Why?

Like my maternal grandfather’s family, I’ve become a fan of Pierogi. My great grandmother, we called her, “Baba,” and my grandpa, enjoyed making and eating pierogi. It’s a Eastern Europe/Russian food.

But the Pierogi I enjoy also has a YouTube channel called, “Scammer Payback.” BTW, Pierogi isn’t his real name. I hope I really don’t need to explain why….
