My Social Media Revision at Age 55

Starting fresh after a several years on the sideline

Thank you for reading my debut post to Medium.

Inside the symbolic lockers above are ideas for my editorial calendar.

Or, err … that’s how it looked until late Saturday evening. Before a simple Google search returned alarming information.

My plan as of 36 hours ago included launching a drop-shipping store via my website. Not to mention creating a presence on Etsy and using the top drop-shipping companies. In fact, the ever-positive New Zealander, Sarah Chrisp almost had me. She offers a free week of access to her eComm course for $1. On the eighth day, the rate increases to $67 per month.

But as you know, “There’s always a bigger fish.”

And after six years of using my site, the Google search of adopted user name revealed a store on Etsy. A store with a history of more than 17,000 sales. The store owner began trademarking their name in 2012. I came up with mine while driving to Southern Methodist University circa 2014–15.

The difference in our two names? They use the -al suffix to end their first name. My second name has the -ist suffix. How Google missed that for six years is baffling. But opening a store with the old domain?
