Only 25 ICU Beds Available in 30-Something Dallas County Hospitals

--

With vaccine mandates being issued for all hospital staff, there are many considering leaving their healthcare jobs.

Medical staff, facing their own mental health issues and having gone this far without being vaccinated are looking for alternative jobs, whether you want to believe it or not, having been given ultimatums about getting vaxed.

The Dallas Morning News reports in their email newsletter say that as of today, Aug. 7, 2021, there are only 25 Intensive Care Unit hospital beds available among the roughly 30 emergency care hospitals in Dallas County, Texas. There are 2.636 million people who live in Dallas County. I’m a writer so I’m not all that great with math, but the essence of the situation is seen through the photo of the nurse above.

One of my daughters works at a hospital in a contiguous county. For more than a week now, their primary hospital retooled their beds and personnel for increasing numbers of Covid-19 infected patients.

Last night, they tweeted warnings notifying the public that they are shutting down operations in smaller facilities so they can put everything they have into their main, largest care hospital.
