Already struggling with debt, millennials live with war costs
As war rages in eastern Europe, American millennials can least afford and will suffer the most by its effects.
How can fighting half a world away wreck the lives of millennials, those ages 26–40?
The answer is simple. Millennials are the largest demographic group in America and in the worst financial positions possible to weather the economic circumstances certain to follow.
The struggle is already real
Before war began last week, at least half of the 72-million millennials in the United States struggled to make ends meet.
Most have an expendable income of around $60,000.
Not too shabby, right?
One can only guess how many Gen X parents have told their son(s) or daughter(s), “If only I could have made that much when I was your age!”
But is that being fair? Apples to oranges?
Not at all.
