I enjoy concentrated studies like this. I have not done one of the Spanish Civil War, but I've seen Hemingway and Gelhorn!

As 2019 began, my Christmas wish list for the year was for novels by dead Russian writers. They took me on an adventure I never could have imagined. And as the son of a former B-52 instructor pilot and military historian at the USAF Air War College, these books helped me better understand how we got to the Cold War, and how in many ways it's never ended, probably never will, even with the rise of China.

Keep up the writings and studies. There's no telling what insight you will gain, but it will definitely have an influence on the nib of your pen!
