Hey Liudmila, thank you for your comments. Sounds like you have found a great niche to grow within. I wish my brain could handle that many languages. English often is difficult enough!

Are we doomed? Some days I wonder. Here in America, we hear each day, largely from our government and the news media that Russia is on the verge of losing in Ukraine. And then switch channels or hours of the day, and it sounds like Russia will prevail.

As writers, and you as a linguist, we each are skilled in the use of words and word-play.

My father was a USAF B-52 pilot and a military historian. For much of my life I've heard the concept of Mutually Assured Destruction. Some political leaders used to just call it MAD.

A nuclear war is the ultimate war worth not fighting. In the end, no one wins. So what is the point?

I have to believe that the same feelings exist in the spirits of Russian citizens and even leaders like Putin.

You know what I mean?
