God Sent Me To The Woods

Not the woodshed, but to the simple heart of the woods.

“The UP is calling and I must go!” A great t-shirt from a local shop.

Many disagree with my spending the summer tent camping in Upper Michigan. Many make me feel as though the decision was my own.

The truth is, I’m here because God sent me.

He led the way out of Dallas. He provided my Chevy Traverse three years ago. All along I’ve wondered about whether it could handle a journey. The car has gotten me out of places I worried about getting stuck in.

My 8-yo Great Pyrenees, Maycee, and I have not starved nor had a bear eat us.

This week I received a much-needed 100 Watt solar panel. I also received a power generator. Now I can sleep with my CPAP at night. We don’t have to come to town so much to meet our electrical needs.

This is My Job, for Now

God has provided limited but growing amounts of revenue for this social experiment.

He has shown me to use the resources on the land to develop products people will buy. Ideas people already want. The products go way beyond the scope of wooden crosses. I have found something I am able to do within my health capabilities.

The Benefits to My Health
