Follow Your Dreams; At Any Age
Leaving Texas in the morning. At 56, I’m following my dreams.
Today I’m closing down my apartment of the last 12 years and in the morning, my Great Pyrenees, Maycee, and I are leaving Texas. For how long? That has the odds makers in Vegas sharpening their pencils.
The answer to the question of how long will we be gone?
Long enough to go to there and back again. Could be a week. Could be a couple weeks, a month….
After that do you have any idea what you’ll be doing?
Me neither. We have today. And we’re not guaranteed to get out of it without something dreadful happening. Am I right?
Chinese Fortune on My Desk
As soon as you feel too old to do a thing, do it. — Chinese Fortune Cookie
I don’t know when I opened the Chinese fortune cookie with the message above, but I have it under the protective cover on my desk. Or I will for another hour or so.
I have many stories to tell yet in my life.
For the last six years, because of a disabling back injury, I’ve let the world race past me. The time has come to get uncomfortable. To get off center. To take motion. Pain or not.
