The skill of bushcrafting on Crown Land in the wilds of Canada
In Canada is a woman with grit named Careena Alexis. She has built a following of those interested in learning about roughing it in the woods of Ontario. And when I say roughing it, I mean bushcraft. Year-round. Snowbound.
Wiki defines bushcrafting as providing for the basic physiological necessities of human life. Where one gathers food (through foraging, tracking, hunting, trapping, fishing.) Bushcrafters also use water sourcing and purification, shelter-building, and firecraft. Often in her camps, the most common tools are a tarp, a fold-up wood saw, and an ax or hatchet. Oh yeah, and it has snowed or is snowing, to boot.
On some adventures, Careena builds walls with dead trees and adds a roof with uniform-sized, straight, deadwood poles she has fashioned.
